Growing up in Beirut, the piano was omnipresent in Jad Salameh’s early life. Whether listening to his father’s Lebanese folk songs at night, hiding his favorite toys in the underbelly of the instrument, he developed a deep bond with the piano that became a central part of his life.
At the age of 17 Jad moved to Montreal to study molecular biology and finally fell in love with jazz. Since then the music is both reflective and exploratory, introverted and explosive. Along the road he met Tigran Hamasyan, Racha Rizk, Aaron Parks, Baptiste Trotignon, Jennifer Grout and found his own way with trio and solo projects.
Now based in Paris Jad has performed at a prestigious collection of concerts in France, including Jazz à la Villette, Festival Jazzycolors and Sunset in Paris and shared the stage and the studio with a lot of other inspiring friends.

Que ce soit en écoutant les chansons folkloriques libanaises de son père ou en cachant ses jouets préférés dans le ventre de l'instrument, il a développé un lien profond avec le piano qui est devenu une partie centrale de sa vie.
À l'âge de 17 ans, Jad est parti à Montréal pour étudier la biologie moléculaire et est finalement tombé amoureux du jazz. Depuis lors, la musique est à la fois réfléchie et exploratoire, introvertie et explosive. En chemin, il rencontre Tigran Hamasyan, Racha Rizk, Aaron Parks, Baptiste Trotignon, Jennifer Grout et trouve sa propre voie à travers des projets en trio et en solo.
Maintenant basé à Paris, Jad a joué dans de prestigieux événements en France, dont Jazz à la Villette, Festival Jazzycolors ou au Sunside à Paris et a partagé la scène et le studio avec d’autres brillant.e.s artistes.
